America is no stranger to food-themed holiday products, especially those that come back year after year in some form. This year, Taco Bell has released a slew of holiday treats that will put a bit of spice under the tree.
A spokesperson for Taco Bell said that the company was inspired to create the products after the company's "friendsgiving" sweaters were successful. The Mexican food chain created much more than just taco-themed sweaters for the holiday season, with the product lineup ranging from mugs and collectibles to shirts and even some spicy pajamas.
Find a list of the products below. Most of the products are sold out as of the time of writing this article, but you can check back on Taco Bell's online store for restocks.
Hot sauce packet onesies
If you have always wanted to proclaim your undying love for Taco Bell's sassy hot sauce packets, you now have the perfect vehicle to do so -- your entire body. These hot sauce onesies will keep you both warm and spicy for only $78 each.
What better way to tell your friends, significant other, family or even large animals that you love them other than buying them a spicy onesie? The outfits come in "Mild," "Hot" and "Fire" varieties, all in varying shades of orange and red. Each onesie also features an iconic Taco Bell hot sauce phrase on the back, ranging from "I knew I was your favorite" to "Good choice."
Taco-themed holiday sweaters
Those who are fans of holiday-themed ugly sweaters and a worldwide Mexican food chain will have to decide between the two no longer. Another product to arise out of the Taco Bell holiday line is a collection of three different taco-themed sweaters, perfect to wear to any holiday potluck. Don't forget to bring a box of crunchwraps instead of cookies, complete with guacamole frosting.
One sweater design shows Santa Claus being flown around the world in his sleigh, led by tacos. Another depicts a taco-adorned Christmas tree, standing tall with spicy pride. A third is embellished with the Taco Bell logo and small taco accoutrements lining the edges. Each sweater will run you $59, which is equivalent to just over 19 crunchwraps.
Hot sauce packet pillow and loungewear
What's more cuddly than a plastic packet full of spicy fluid? Obviously, a fluffy 11-inch throw pillow version of said packet of sauce. You can also buy a set of sauce packet-themed loungewear to complete the look, to give your entire saucy affair a spicy, yet casual tone.
The sauce packet pillow costs $20, while a set of matching loungewear will run you between $60 and $65, depending on if you choose shorts or pants. You can sleep comfortably, snuggling your giant re-creation of a packet of hot sauce while adorned with sauce-inspired apparel on Christmas Eve while you dream of all the taco-flavored goodies Santa will bring.
Mugs and socks
The icing on the taco-flavored present cake comes in the form of themed socks and mugs. The 15-ounce mugs work well for holding a smaller taco bowl or a hot beverage. The socks serve to keep feet as warm as a spicy hot sauce does to a tongue on a cold day.
These gifts are also the most affordable of the bunch, with the mugs costing $10 each and each set of socks running $15 each. Both would work well to stuff a stocking, or perhaps an oversized taco.
