Thieves use front-end loader to rip ATM from Orlando bank

Alarm alerts police to theft

ORLANDO, Fla. - Thieves used a front-end loader to rip an ATM from a Chase bank in Orlando.

The theft was reported around 5:30 a.m. Thursday at 8255 Lee Vista Boulevard near Narcoossee Road.

An alarm alerted Orlando police to the crime and discovered the heavy equipment at the bank.  It's not known where the thieves got the loader.

The culprits are believed to have loaded the ATM, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash, in another vehicle before fleeing.

Video from the scene shows heavy damage at the drive-through of the bank, with the front-end loader located nearby.
