TITUSVILLE, Fla. - A 75-year-old Titusville woman died and two others were seriously injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash in front of Target Plaza on State Road 405, police said.

The wreck took place just after 5:30 p.m., prompting a shutdown of eastbound SR 405 for several hours.

A 31-year-old Titusville woman was heading east behind the wheel of a Ford Taurus, near the traffic light entrance to Target Plaza, at 3055 Columbia Blvd., when the collision happened, according to a preliminary investigation by the Titusville Police Department.

The Taurus crashed into a Nissan Altima driven by a 23-year-old Titusville woman who was making a left turn into Target Plaza.

The woman who died was a passenger in the Altima. She died at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were seriously injured.

Names haven’t been released.
