ORLANDO, Fla. - A driver was unharmed after a train swiped a car on South Orange Avenue in Orlando on Thursday evening.

Video provided to News 6 by a viewer shows a light-colored sedan with its left side on the tracks as a SunRail train approaches. Bystanders can be heard yelling moments before the train slams into the car and drags it along the tracks.

Officials said the driver, identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as Jean Marseille, 73, got out of the car before the collision.

Troopers said Marseille was attempting to turn around on the tracks when he got stuck.

A bystander, Nelson Perez, 30, ran to Marseille's car and helped him out before the train struck.

SunRail tweeted just before 7 p.m. that train P330 is canceled due to police activity. Other tweets indicate P329 is also delayed. Officials didn't say if it was related to the car that was hit.

The FHP said Marseille was ticketed for stopping on the train tracks.
