Trayvon Martin's mother testifies in George Zimmerman trial

SANFORD, Fla. - The mother of Trayvon Martin took the stand on Friday in the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed Martin.

The state called Sybrina Fulton to the stand on Friday as one of its final witnesses.

Judge Debra S. Nelson said she expects the state to rest its case on Friday.

Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. He says he shot Martin, an unarmed black teenager, in self-defense.
