Lamborghini crashes, splits into 5 pieces

Owner purchased car 2 days ago, Orlando police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two people are recovering after crashing a Lamborghini in Colonial Town Center Friday evening.

Orlando police said the driver was speeding down MacGuire Boulevard, hit a bump in the road, caught air, lost control and crashed the vehicle into a tree.

The car split into five pieces and the driver and passenger were still strapped into their seats.

The driver, a male, suffered a broken leg, and the passenger suffered a head injury.

Police said the man had bought the car two days ago.

Alcohol is believed to not be a factor in the crash.
