UCF to address drunken driving dangers

MADD, law enforcement to announce new crackdown

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida is working to get results and crackdown on drunken driving.

The school is expected to announce a new initiative Tuesday, a day after UCF police released body camera video showing an 18-year-old student being pulled over for drunken driving.

Officers said the teenager had a blood alcohol level three times over the legal limit.

UCF police, law enforcement officials and Mothers Against Drunk Driving are expected to announce a new program aimed at addressing the dangers of drinking while driving.

The university will also host a fundraising walk on Saturday to help raise awareness.
