Vandals target St. Cloud High School

Graffiti found on windows, sidewalk

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Two vandals sprayed obscene words and symbols on windows and sidewalks at St. Cloud High School over the weekend, police said.

The St. Cloud Police Department provided a photo of what appears to be two males with their faces covered and cans of spray paint in their hands. One is wearing an blue hoodie with black pants, and the other is wearing a camouflage jacket with denim jeans.

Parents gave pictures to News 6 showing vulgar phrases written in gold paint, some of which mentions the Bulldogs, which is the school's mascot.

The school announced on Thursday that there is a heavier police presence at the school because of an unspecified social media threat.

"I want to make parents aware that additional law enforcement officers are on campus this morning regarding a vague threat made on social media," St. Cloud principal Nate Fancher said in an automated message to parents. "All necessary precautions were immediately taken to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for your continued support of St. Cloud High as we work together to provide a learning environment that is focused on both student achievement and student and staff safety."

Details on that threat were not available.
