Victim drives to restaurant after being shot, Orange County deputies say

Authorities say shooting occurred at different location

ORLANDO, Fla. – A shooting victim drove to a restaurant after being shot Saturday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The victim drove to the Popeyes restaurant at Columbia Street and Bruton Boulevard. Deputies said the shooting occurred at a different location.

The Orlando Police Department responded to the call for assistance from Popeyes. Deputies said the investigation has been turned over to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The male victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies said the victim was conscious and speaking.
