The burglary occurred around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Northwest Gera Street.

In the video, the culprit is seen lurking around the home before entering a rear window next to a bedroom where the victims were sleeping, according to Palm Bay police.

"I just feel that somebody invaded my space," said victim Mike Hofmeister, who woke up moments after the burglar crawled back out of the window. "He's lucky he got out when he did."

The burglar spent about three minutes inside and stole the contents of a wallet left on a countertop before fleeing the home via the same window he entered.

"There have been several burglaries in the area over the last few weeks," said Palm Bay police Detective M. Ramos.  "We believe if someone knows this individual they will recognize him in the video and we need them to contact us immediately before someone gets hurt."

The assailant has light-colored, curly hair and appeared to have been wearing glasses.  On the night of the burglary, he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, shorts, black socks and skateboard-style shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.  Callers can remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 in the case.
