Breast milk in bake sale brownies? Viral Facebook post claims mom used this ingredient

A Facebook post by someone claiming to be a mother who used her own breast milk in her child’s school bake sale brownies is going viral, KPRC reports.

The post, reposted on a Facebook group called Sanctimommy, is asking for advice about coping with the angry parents who had found out about what she’d done when she ran out of regular milk.

The mother indicates that she didn’t think the move was a big deal.

I shall forever remember today as the day I stopped supporting bake sales.

But oh, it was.

The post has been shared thousands of times on Facebook, with comments ranging from disapproval to disbelief.

"It's like that one time I made lemonade with my urine because I ran out of water and didn't feel like going to the store to get more," one user wrote. "I only drink Perrier so they were getting, like, the best urine ever. I don't know why everyone was so mad about it."

In the disbelief department, some were wondering whether breast milk would work with a brownie recipe, with one user tagging a famed TV chef: "Alton Brown, from a chemistry perspective, would that work?"

Others wondered what brownie recipe actually calls for milk.

However, we’ve found one.

It's unclear whether any legal action will be taken in this case.

We’ll keep you updated on this story as it develops.
