Volusia deputy shoots hoops with kids on playground

DEBARY, Fla. – Part deputy, part basketball star? 

A video posted to the Volusia Sheriff's Twitter account shows Deputy Paul Passerrello playing basketball with kids on the playground.

Passerrello is a school resource deputy at two schools in Volusia County: River Springs Middle School and High Banks Learning Center.

School resources deputies are responsible for not only law enforcement, but also provide mentoring, teaching and providing a positive role model for the students at the school.

When it comes to living up to the job expectations, it looks like Passerrello is a slam dunk.
