Mike and Kelly Gallivan didn't order them, but they keep showing up on the front porch.
The Boston couple has received dozens of unwanted packages from Amazon, containing cheap gadgets, such as plastic fans, hand warmers and phone chargers, The Boston Globe reported. The first one arrived in October.
At first, it was kind of funny, the Gallivans told the Globe. Now they just want it to stop.
They've contacted Amazon, who could only tell them the items were paid for with a gift card.
Experts said the couple could be part of a scam to boost buyer reviews, the Globe reported. Apparently, the unknown seller sends the package anonymously by using a gift card and then writes positive reviews of the item to bolster its Amazon ranking.
“We don’t want any part of this. But the packages just keep coming," Kelly Gallivan told the Globe.
