Two inmates at a maximum security prison in Colombia managed to get their guard drunk and escape after they told him they were leaving to get more alcohol.

The BBC reports Jhon Gutierrez Rincon and Olmedo Cargas allegedly gave the guard homebrewed liquor before convincing him to let them leave the prison campus to get more booze. When colleagues approached the guard and smelled alcohol on his breath, the guard refused to take a blood-alcohol test. The inmates never returned to the prison, prompting an active search for them by authorities.

Because prison authorities found no evidence of forced escape to the building or its gates, they have assumed the guard helped them pull off the feat.
