A Florida man who was involved in a car accident Sunday was arrested after he allegedly asked troopers if he could leave the scene to go get more meth.
The Orlando Sentinel reports Scott Ecklund, 32, crashed into a another vehicle Sunday afternoon. When police responded to the accident and searched Ecklund's vehicle, they recovered meth and a small scale.
"Mr. Ecklund was making no sense during our conversation," Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Glaudson Curado wrote in the police report. "...He was asking me to let he [sic] run away, that he could get me much more illegal substance that I had found with him today."
Ecklund was arrested and charged with methamphetamine possession and driving with a suspended license. He's being held in the Orange County Jail.
