A Kansas man who made headlines last week after falling through his ex-girlfriend's ceiling is back in the news after breaking into a different home and stealing clothing.

Tyler Bergkamp, 25, was arrested last week for stalking his ex-girlfriend and time in the hospital treating injuries sustained from the fall. The Salina Journal reports he called his ex several times from the hospital to ask her to come to the facility--even though she had filed a protection order against him.

When his ex complained about the phone calls, police started to pursue Bergkamp. He left Salina Regional Medical Center around 9:50 a.m. and it wasn't until early evening that authorities were tipped off to his whereabouts, learning a person was seen trespassing in a house about three blocks away from the hospital. The woman who called said she returned home to find a Salina Regional Health Center gown on her bed and noticed her clothes had been disturbed.

When police finally made contact with Bergkamp, he was wearing clothes allegedly taken from the home.

In addition to the previous charges Bergkamp faces, police are requesting violating a protection order, stalking, burglary and theft be added.
