A New Hampshire woman who attempted to get hired at a county jail was stopped short of employment when she was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Hillsborough County Department of Corrections staff realized Kristina Hoefs was wanted on a theft-related charge in Maine when she applied to the jail Friday.

The Associated Press reports Hoefs was taken into custody and scheduled for arraignment Monday.
