MAITLAND, Fla. - A woman was groped by a man while walking on the Seminole County Trail on Labor Day, deputies said.
The attack was reported at 7:30 p.m. Monday near Maitland

According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the woman told investigators that she was walking west near Keewannee Trail and Flaming Arrow Court in unincorporated Maitland when a man pulled up to her on what she described as a motorized bike.

Seminole County sheriff's investigators released a sketch of the man and are seeking the public's help identifying him.

"He stops. He puts his bike down. Makes some very suggestive comments and then goes further and he keeps groping her and he gropes her again. Then the two start struggling and end up falling to the ground," said Bob Kealing, public information officer with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

The woman screamed and continued fighting until the man left, deputies said.

The woman suffered minor cuts and abrasions.

"I think it certainly helped that the victim fought back and she screamed and was able to fight him off. I think that played a big part in it," said Kealing.

The assailant was described as a white man, about 25 years old, with short, dirty blond hair.

He was wearing shorts, a black, long-sleeved hoodie, and black and red tennis shoes.

He was riding a motorized bicycle that appeared to look like a motor bike from the back.

"That would scare me. That would scare me a lot and I might consider finding someone to walk with," said Nancy Meskill.

Meskill walks the trail every morning with her dog.

She didn't know about Monday's incident until News 6 told her.

On Aug. 25 another groping report was made. The victim told deputies a possibly black man on a small motorcycle slapped her on the rear.

She said the man was wearing a black hoodie.

Authorities don't believe the two incidents are related, but they have added extra patrols in the area.
Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office at 407-665-6650 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
