Young children find mother dead in Orange County home, deputies say

Sheriff's Office launches death investigation on Kathy Jo Terrace

A woman was found dead at a home in Pine Hills on Sept. 14.

PINE HILLS, Fla. – A $5,000 reward is being offered in a case in which three young children found their mother dead last week in their Orange County home.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office launched a death investigation Thursday after deputies were called to the 4800 block of Kathy Jo Terrace near Princeton Street and Pine Hills Road in Pine Hills at 11:49 a.m.

The woman was identified as 30-year-old Christa Hall.

The children, ages 6, 10 and 11, were not injured. They have been placed into protective custody.

No arrests have been made, but deputies said the community is not at risk.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about Hall's death is asked to call Crimeline 800-423-TIPS.
