DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Volusia County woman convicted of drowning a puppy in a Nebraska airport bathroom will be sentenced in September for violating her probation.
Cynthia Anderson's sentencing was scheduled for Friday, but court officials in Nebraska said it was postponed until Sept. 6.

Anderson, of Edgewater, pleaded no contest in 2015 and was convicted of cruel neglect of an animal resulting in its death after being accused of drowning a 3-week-old puppy in a Nebraska airport bathroom. Anderson was barred from boarding a flight because the puppy so young was not properly contained. The Doberman puppy was later found dead in the bathroom.
Anderson was ordered to live without animals for five years, but investigators say she had a dog earlier this year.
