Report: Rumors circulate of Marcus Jordan leaving UCF hoops

Jordan could pursue business opportunities

ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF guard Marcus Jordan, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, could be leaving the Knights basketball program.

A report Tuesday by TerezOwens.com, a sports gossip website, quoted an unnamed source who is apparently a teammate of Jordan's and close to the family.

Jordan is not enrolled in Summer A, but UCF Athletics maintains that he will be enrolled in the fall semester. Jordan could come off scholarship and compete as a walk-on, as his family could afford to pay tuition for his senior year, and the extra scholarship could be used on new recruits.

Jordan could pursue business opportunities or play professionally overseas.

His brother Jeff Jordan left the team last season for personal reasons and his best friend A.J. Rompza, whom he grew up with in Chicago, graduated after last season.
