MLS suspends Heath one match for entering field of play during game

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City head coach Adrian Heath has been suspended for one game and fined for entering the field of play during a recent match, the team announced Wednesday.

Heath entered the field in the 54th minute in a game Friday against the New York Red Bulls.

Under Major League Soccer policy, any player or staff member, excluding medical personnel, who enters the field of play is subject to a one-game suspension.

Heath will travel to Orlando City’s match against Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, but he will not be able to communicate with the team or enter the stadium tunnel area, the team locker room or field level until after the end of the game.

Heath will return for Orlando City’s match May 21 against the Montreal Impact at Camping World Stadium, formerly known as the Orlando Citrus Bowl.
