ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County commissioners have approved a $3 million funding package as part of a deal to bring the NFL Pro Bowl to Orlando.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the funding package requires the county to pay the NFL a minimum of $1 million in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The money will come from bed-tax revenues.
The county also agreed to reallocate $350,000 in Visit Orlando's sports funding account for the game.
The NFL Pro Bowl game is typically played in Hawaii. It will move to Camping World Stadium in Orlando starting January of next year.
