Downtown stadium to open at start of next season

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City is out of the hunt for the playoffs this year, but anticipation is building for next season.

The Lions will take the field for the first time in their brand-new stadium next year.

The team on Monday released new aerial video of the progress on the soccer-specific stadium, which is being built at Church Street and Parramore Avenue.

The new stadium, which will hold 25,500 fans, will be home to the Orlando City Soccer Club and the Orlando Pride.
