Danica Patrick to star in commercials for Daytona Beach

Race car driver to be paid $100,000 for ads

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is expected to be in Daytona Beach Wednesday, but it's not for a race.

The superstar is part of a campaign to bring more businesses to the beach.

Patrick is expected to shoot commercials for the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

She is being paid $100,000 to star in the ads, which the bureau says will try to push the area's appeal beyond spring break and racing.

The ads are expected to debut early next year.
