Pittsburgh wins on road in Game 6 to clinch title

The Pittsburgh Penguins captured their second straight Stanley Cup championship Sunday night by beating the Nashville Predators 2-0 on the road in Game 6.

After rushing out to a 2-0 series lead by winning the first two games at home, the Penguins ran into the buzz saw that is the home-ice Predators inside Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. While the Predators won Games 3 and 4 by a combined total of 9-2, the Penguins responded with a 6-0 Game 5 rout back in Pittsburgh.

Going into Sunday's Game 6, the Predators had posted a 9-1 record at home in these playoffs.

While the Predators were making the first Stanley Cup Final appearance in their 19-season franchise history, the title is the fifth for the Penguins, who beat the San Jose Sharks in six games to win their fourth last year.
