ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Central Florida announced its 2017-18 women's soccer schedule Thursday, with many teams on the slate having NCAA tournament experience.

Featuring nine home games, the Knights, under the leadership of coach Tiffany Roberts-Sahaydak, will battle six teams who made the NCAA tournament in 2016, including one against Sahaydak's alma mater, the University of North Carolina.

Starting the season on the road against South Carolina on August 18, the Knights will then come home on August 20 for their home-opener against Stetson.

Playing UNC for the second year in a row, this time at home, the Knights will then battle Arizona and Arizona State on the road before returning home to host LSU on September 8.

Battling FGCU on September 15, the Knights will then begin conference play on the road against Cincinnati before traveling to East Carolina on September 24. The Knights will return back home to host Tulsa and Memphis before heading to Houston and SMU.

The Knights will close out the season and American Athletic Conference regular season play at home when they take on UConn on October 19; Temple on October 22; and War on I-4 rival USF on October 27.

The AAC tournament will take place during the first week of November, with the Knights, who finished 2016 with a 9-8-2 record and 4-4-1 AAC record, looking to return to the post-season tournament.
