Orlando Pride beat Sky Blue FC 3-2

Rachel Hill heads in game-winner in 86th minute

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Orlando Pride beat Sky Blue FC 3-2 on Wednesday night at Rutgers University.

Chioma Ubogagu scored her second goal of the year and opened the game up in the 11th minute.

Sky Blue goals in the 45th and 46th minutes put Orlando into a one-goal deficit for most of the second half. Orlando eventually found a goal through Marta to tie it at two.

Rookie forward Rachel Hill headed in the game-winner in the 86th minute. It was her first professional goal, according to the team.

"I thought we started well and were looking comfortable, but we seem to have a knack of giving goals away when we're on top of games and that put us under the pump a little bit. Then with the one at the start of the second half, I thought it was going to be a long night," head coach Tom Sermanni said. "A lot of credit to our players for fighting their way back into the game. It was a tough game that could have gone either way and, at the end, [was] very even. We're just delighted to come away with the three points."

The Orlando Pride said Wednesday's win marked the club's first victory over the New Jersey-based team and its second consecutive road win after defeating the Houston Dash 4-2 on June 17.

Orlando welcomes the Chicago Red Stars to Orlando City Stadium at 5 p.m. Saturday.
