ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Magic keep making a push towards putting together a competitive roster for the 2017 season, officially signing center Khem Birch.
Coming over from Greece where the 6-foot-9-inch center played for the powerhouse Olympacos team, Birch joins a team that's been signing players left and right in recent weeks.
From Jonathan Simmons to the recently announced signing of Arron Affalo, Birch joins a Magic team that finished 2016 with a 29-53 record.

Appearing in 37 games with Olympiacos, Birch averaged 7.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 18 minutes per game. Playing for the University of Pittsburgh and UNLV during his collegiate career, Birch declared for the 2014 NBA Draft and spent the 2014-15 season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G-League.
During that time, Birch, 24, averaged 11.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 blocks per game. This signing comes with the Magic needing another big man to fill minutes while Nikola Vucevic and Bismack Biyombo rest or take days off.
