FastPass+ Plussed & Falcon's Fury

Recommended Videos

This should be a big week in Theme World. The walls are down at the Magic Kingdom's 7 Dwarfs Mine Train ride, and a handful of people have even gotten to try out the ride.(Most are training to run the ride, and a few were filmed for a commercial) and Disney is promising to show it off at a media event late this week.  I'll keep you posted on this final piece of New Fantasyland.

I told you a while ago Disney is still tweaking its FastPass+ system  now that it has been up and running for a few weeks, and changes started today that address a lot of the problems fans have with the ride reservation system.

You can still pick 3 FastPass+ attractions up to 30 days in advance. After you have used those 3, you can now pick another FastPass+ at a time (provided they are available) at the same park -- OR you can now parkhop.  There is a downside. For now, you must use an in-park kiosk -- not the MyMagic+ App or web site -- for those extra FastPass+'s. And we have seen -- the lines can be long.

That restriction is only for now. Also today, the kiosks added Spanish as a language option, and more languages are planned. I'll keep you posted as I hear more.

Down on the other side of I-4, we are still waiting to learn if Falcon's Fury will be delayed from its planned May 9th opening. Busch Gardens recently canceled a media event. From what I hear, the delay is probably due to testing needed before the 335 foot tall thrill ride can be declared safe for people.

However the ride system is up and running. I know because Busch just posted this heart-pounding video of what it will look like to ride Falcon's Fury. I have posted it below.
