ORLANDO, Fla. – Members of the World Series-winning Astros baseball team will visit Disney World Saturday as part of their championship tour, Walt Disney World Resort said in a news release.

The Houston Astros won their first-ever World Series in the team's 56-year history on Wednesday in a 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

World Series MVP George Springer and teammates Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa will be honored during a victory parade down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom. The parade starts at 12:45 p.m.

Springer's five home runs tied the World Series record and his eight extra-base hits are a new series record. Altuve led the MLB in hitting during the regular season delivered two home runs during the World Series. Altuve also won some hearts when he proposed to his girlfriend minutes after becoming a world champion.

The Astros' path to their World Series win gave the city of Houston something to be excited about, not long after Hurricane Harvey damaged thousands of homes in the Houston-metro area.

"With the city and surrounding communities ravaged by the impact of Hurricane Harvey, the Astros proved that 'Houston Strong’' was more than just a patch on their uniforms," Disney said in a news release.

The team donated $4 million in hurricane relief efforts as well as their time volunteering for hurricane victims.

Last year's world championship team players from the Chicago Cubs were also honored with a parade at Disney World.
