CHARLOTTE, N.C. - NASCAR has reinstated Jeremy Clements after the driver successfully completed a program on ethics at the University Of Central Florida.

According to race officials, the Nationwide Series driver is now allowed to race this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Clements was sent to a sports diversity expert by NASCAR at UCF for violating the sanctioning body's code of conduct.  In an interview with MTV News, NASCAR determined Clements made an "intolerable and insensitive remark."

According to an MTV report of the incident on its website, Clements used the N-word during an interview at Daytona International Speedway.

Clements is on probation until September 13.
