ORLANDO, Fla - In line with the NBA's much heralded return this week, Walt Disney World decided to give basketball fans a glimpse into its newest partnership with the professional sports league.
Taking place of the recently shut-down attraction, DisneyQuest, "The NBA Experience" is coming to Disney Springs in the Summer of 2019.
Announced in a Disney Parks Press Release on Thursday, "The NBA Experience" will be a state-of-the-art building that will feature "interactive games, immersive experiences, a retail store and an adjacent restaurant."
The building's design will be much akin to that of modern NBA arenas, while also "creating an unmistakable and entertaining connection to the NBA in a way that only Disney can."
On the subject of the project, president of the NBA's global partnerships, Sal LaRocca, said, "This one-of-a-kind experience is sure to be enjoyed by basketball and Disney fans of all ages who visit Disney Springs from around the world.”
Anyone wanting to keep tabs on the building's development, or with any other developments in the rapidly evolving Disney Springs, should stay tuned to Disney Parks Blogs at https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/
