Orlando City loses to Miami FC in US Open Cup

Giles Barnes scores lone goal for Lions

ORLANDO, Fla. – In the fourth round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Orlando City lost 3-1 Wednesday night to Miami FC -1 at Orlando City Stadium.

"Miami was clearly the better team and they deserve a tremendous amount of respect, as disappointed as we are and as difficult as that is to say," Orlando head coach Jason Kreis said. "I take 100 percent responsibility for the result and for the performance."

Miami took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

In the 79th minute, after Miami had taken a 3-0 lead, Giles Barnes scored his second goal as a Lion, making it 3-1.
