Are you ready to write for top media websites across the country? Graham Media Group is seeking a highly-motivated digital journalist to join its online team as a full time WebHub Digital Content Producer. We're looking for someone with a passion for storytelling on digital platforms, ready to contribute to our market-leading media websites, mobile apps and social media channels.


The WebHub Digital Content Producer is responsible for creating and posting unique digital content and newscast packages on a daily basis including articles, images, videos, interactives, and media galleries on leading media websites and mobile apps located in Houston (KPRC), Detroit (WDIV), Orlando (WKMG), Miami (WPLG), San Antonio (KSAT), Jacksonville (WJXT/WCWJ) and Roanoke (WSLS).


The ideal candidate must have online news experience, including an in-depth knowledge of content creation, digital video and image editing. Must possess a passion for news, a commitment to fairness and accuracy and should thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-pressure, team environment.

Excellent communication skills are needed, as this position will be working with the staff in seven television newsrooms, often needing to communicate quickly, accurately, and simultaneously between stations.  Must have the ability to prioritize and complete tasks with guidance from news managers as well as independently, and be capable of reacting quickly and competently in breaking news situations in tasks to distribute content across all platforms. 

The ideal candidate will also have a curiosity about the latest digital tools, a familiarity with basic HTML, and a willingness to experiment with new ways to tell stories and reach a wider audience. Needs to demonstrate an ability to highlight and curate trending stories with a strong sense of attracting audience attention through the crafting of headlines and teases. The position may also be involved in stations’ social media coverage, and may include posting and monitoring of social platforms. 

Hours may include nights, weekends and holidays. This position would ideally be based in Detroit.

Previous news website and/or print journalism experience required. College degree in Journalism/Communications is preferred. Must possess strong AP-style writing and proofreading skills (candidate may need to take a writing test) as well as technical knowledge.
