ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A Walmart employee found a dead 5-foot shark next to an RV in the parking lot of the St. Augustine store, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.
The discovery was made March 3.

Police called the owner of the RV, Kenneth Healey, 25, of Shinnston, West Virginia, who said he remembered hearing a noise outside his RV at around 7:30 a.m., but thought it was workers picking up carts.
Healey told police that shortly after hearing the noise, he went outside to go to work and saw the shark on the hood of his RV. Healey said he removed the shark and put it on the ground.
The employee told police that she didn’t know what to do with the dead shark, so she put it in a shopping cart and left it near where she found it, officials said.
Police called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, which disposed of the shark.
Police said they looked at the store’s surveillance video, but the area where the shark was originally left is not in view of the cameras.
The Sheriff’s Office said earlier this week that another shark was found March 3 in a driveway off 2nd Street in Vilano Beach, but no report was made of the incident.
