Brian Didlake joined News 6 as a general assignment reporter in March of 2021.
Proudly serving as a member of the Army Reserves, Brian enjoys participating in community projects with his Omega Psi Phi Fraternity brothers and is a proud southerner originally from Memphis, Tennessee.
His television news career began in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he reported for WRCB-TV News Channel 3 and WDEF News 12 Now.
Brian then left Chattanooga to work at FOX61 News in Hartford, Connecticut, as the lead nightside reporter. While there, Brian covered many events. He provided extensive coverage of the Black Lives Matter Movement, breaking news, social justice issues and crime-related stories. He was also the first at his station in Connecticut to execute a multipart documentary-style series exploring racial tensions in Connecticut and providing outlets of tough conversations for the state to move forward after the death of George Floyd in 2020.
Brian has also covered other major events, like Tropical Strom Isaias, the officer-involved shooting of Mubarak Soulemane that led civil rights activists like Rev. Al Sharpton to intervene in the court proceedings.
Outside of news, Brian is also a painter, an avid reader and claims to be a great cook, saying his gumbo is unmatched!
