Parker Branton


Parker Branton joined Local 10 News in January 2019 as a reporter. 

He was born and raised in Rome, Georgia, but now loves living on the sunny beaches of South Florida. 

Parker has reported for WVUA 23 and Alabama Public Radio covering news across Alabama. He also spent one year working alongside reporters gathering news content at Atlanta's No. 1 station WSB-TV (ABC).

In 2017,  Parker joined WTVM (ABC) in Columbus, Georgia. After a few months of on-air work, he was promoted to East Alabama Bureau Chief for Raycom Media's Alabama affiliates. 

Parker graduated from the University of Alabama in December 2016 with a degree in telecommunication and film and political science. During his time at UA, he was Alabama's world-renowned mascot, Big Al. Parker traveled across the nation for appearances as Big Al.
