You can catch Emmy Award-winning anchor, Bridgett Ellison, on News 6 Mornings 4:30-7 a.m., 9 a.m. and noon on News 6.

Bridgett joined News 6 in 2010. Her previous stations include WAGT in Augusta, Ga., WLTX in Columbia, SC, and WCTI in New Bern, NC.

She worked as a main anchor/reporter for the NBC station in Augusta. Bridgett also served as morning anchor in Augusta before making the move to main anchor. Her unstoppable efforts got her noticed fast. During her five years in Georgia, she was honored by the Georgia Associated Press with awards for "Best Documentary" and "Best Anchor/Reporter."

A golf enthusiast, Bridgett also covered many Masters tournaments and will forever cherish the day she played a round at the world-famous Augusta National.

A proud Tar Heel, Bridgett is an outstanding graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism.

The Rock Hill, South Carolina, native started her family in Orlando and considers Central Florida home. As a busy mom of two little ones, Elise and Ethan, Bridgett understands how important your time is to you. 

She also enjoys mentoring young students and volunteering with several nonprofits around town.

Bridgett is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Associated Press and National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences have recognized her work several times.
