ORLANDO, Fla. – A Masai giraffe calf was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom and they are asking the public to help come up with a name.
This rare type of giraffe is found in southern Kenya and throughout Tanzania. According to the blog, it is estimated that there are fewer than 40,000 Masai giraffes left in the world.
The new calf will go out on the Kilimanjaro Safaris savanna within the next few weeks, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
Disney's animal care team has created a list of baby names to choose from. They include Baraka, Knodo, Baridi, Shingo, Asani and Mosi. To cast a vote, visit Disney Parks Blog.
The results of the calf-naming poll will be posted next Wednesday.
