Disney confirms President Trump will have speaking role at 'Hall of Presidents'

Recording session already scheduled, park officials say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World is fighting back against rumors surrounding "The Hall of Presidents" attraction at the Magic Kingdom. 

Theme park officials said President Donald Trump's animatronic likeness will have a speaking role in the attraction, like every commander in chief since 1993.

Disney officials released a statement Tuesday night after a VICE News report claimed otherwise. 

 

Theme park officials said they have been working closely with the White House, and the president's recording session has been scheduled. 

 

"The Hall of Presidents" attraction has been closed since Inauguration Day. 

 

Disney said it will reopen in late 2017.
