New Disney World parade to debut

'Festival of Fantasy' parade steps off at Magic Kingdom

ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World will unveil its new "Festival of Fantasy" parade at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday.

The parade features several new floats, new costumes and new songs. The floats will glide down Main Street USA during daytime.

In February, Local 6 got a sneak peek of some of the new designs, including sea creatures from "The Little Mermaid," the Lost Boys from "Peter Pan" and Scottish dancers from "Brave."

Another new float unveiled by Disney World focuses on Maleficent, the villain from "Sleeping Beauty." Disney is releasing a new movie called "Maleficent," starring Angelina Jolie, in May.

Some of the new floats are more than 3 stories tall. They will feature characters on swings, pendulums and stilts.
