SHERMAN OAKS, Ca. – A unique piece of Disneyland history went on the auction block and took in a record amount.
Someone paid $708,000 for a map of the California theme park that was drawn by Walt Disney.

The map was used in 1953 to help secure funding for the park.
Before Disney could break ground on the park, his brother Roy had to convince investors of its value.
Park officials said Roy Disney used the map several times for sales pitches. The map was eventually given to an employee.
Experts said the map is the most expensive map of Disneyland ever sold.
