Fans can experience 'The Cabin in the Woods'

ORLANDO, Fla. - Universal Studios Orlando announced one of its themed haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights 23 will be based on the hit horror film "The Cabin in the Woods."

The park made the announcement on its Facebook page on Thursday after leaving hints for fans throughout the day on Wednesday.

"The Cabin in the Woods" stars Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins and Kristen Connolly. The movie was co-written by Joss Whedon, director of "The Avengers."

The film follows five friends who go to a cabin in the woods and get more than they bargained for. The friends must work together to discover the truth behind the cabin and learn who is in control of their fate.

Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from September 20 to November 2.
