Lake County gets second shipment of COVID-19 vaccine, begins giving out shots ASAP
LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Officials in Lake County received more COVID-19 vaccines and began distributing them Wednesday morning, reaching capacity within an hour. “The second shipment of COVID-19 vaccines and distribution will begin (Wednesday) at 9 a.m.,” officials said in a briefing that was held about 30 minutes before the inoculations were to begin. By 10 a.m. Lake County Department of Health officials said the vaccine site at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center had already reached capacity. Health officials said in regards to vaccine distribution they will evaluate on a day-by-day basis and don’t plan to announce distribution until the day it happens. An announcement will be made through the Lake County DOH website, lake.floridahealth.gov or on Twitter at @FLHealthLake.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A man was found dead Wednesday morning along train tracks near Kissimmee, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The victim was found around 7 a.m. on the railway located near Old Tampa Highway and Pleasant Oaks Court, troopers said.
