VIRGINIA BEACH, Va โ Two people are dead and eight people were wounded in shootings along Virginia Beachโs oceanfront, police said Saturday. Eight people were shot just after 11 p.m. Friday, Virginia Beach police said in a news release. While officers were investigating the original shooting, shots were fired nearby, Neudigate said. The original shooting and the officer shooting were being investigated concurrently, the release said. โWe have a very chaotic incident, a very chaotic night,โ Neudigate said during the news conference.

Officers stopped the men about a block from the vehicle, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said. A woman with the men was not arrested, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said.

Florida man pleads guilty to deadly crash in Virginia
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. โ A Florida man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a drunken crash that killed a Virginia woman. Prosecutors say Spence was driving 104 mph when he crashed into the SUV driven by 73-year-old Maria Grayson Fox, who died at the scene of the 2018 crash in Virginia Beach. Prosecutors say witnesses told police that Spence staggered away from the scene. Prosecutors say a blood test showed that Spence had a blood alcohol content level of .19, over double the legal driving limit. They say his passenger told authorities the two had come from a nightclub.
