ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – An 18-year-old man was killed and a 19-year-old was seriously injured early Friday when their motorcycle crashed in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Christopher Bruno, of Altamonte Springs, died in the crash, which happened around 4:30 a.m. on Weathersfield Avenue near Clemson Drive in Altamonte Springs. Dakota Clark, of Groveland, was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, troopers said.

The FHP said the duo was headed to a friend's house when Clark failed to negotiate a curve and struck a guardrail. Bruno and Clark were ejected from the bike, and Bruno died at the scene, according to the FHP.

Troopers said the road was likely wet because rain has been falling across the region Friday morning.

The crash is under investigation.

Weathersfield Avenue is closed in both directions between Clemson Drive and Duke Avenue.
