1 killed in fiery Ocala crash involving semitruck, fire rescue says

OCALA, Fla. – One person was killed Friday in Ocala in a fiery crash involving a semitruck, Ocala Fire Rescue officials said.

The crash was reported just after 5 p.m. at Northeast 14th Street and Northwest 30th Avenue.
Ocala firefighters responded and put out the vehicle fire. Ocala police were also on scene. 

Drivers were asked to avoid the area on Northeast 14th Street between 25th and 36 avenues.

One person was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the semitruck was taken to a hospital in unknwon condition, Ocala fire officials said.
