Deputy involved in 4-car pileup on S.R. 408

3 taken to hospital in crash, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County sheriff's deputy was involved in a four-car crash Tuesday morning in Orlando, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened about 8:20 a.m. on eastbound State Road 408 near Good Homes Road.

Troopers said three people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The deputy was not hurt, troppers said.

The wreck blocked parts of S.R. 408, causing a 4-mile backup to the Florida Turnpike.

No other details were immediately known.
