I-95 reopens after big rigs crash near Titusville

1 truck hauling tomatoes, other hauling fuel, troopers say

A crash closes I-95 in Brevard County.

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 south of Titusville have been reopened on Friday after wreck involving two big rigs, one hauling tomatoes.

The trucks, one carrying fuel and the other hauling tomatoes, crashed around 9 a.m. Friday near mile marker 212.

According to Brevard County fire officials, the tractor-trailer carrying tomatoes jackknifed in the middle of the interstate and suffered a minor fuel and oil leak. 

The tanker carrying fuel had damage to the tank that required crews to pump the product from the damaged tank to a second truck.

No injuries were reported.
